MAINTENANCE & FACILITIES ENGINEER/UTILITIES ENGINEER (PENANG - PRAI)

Job Responsibility:
  • Oversee operation and maintenance of facilities equipment, main power distribution, lighting, and fire protection system.
  • Operation and Maintenance of Utilities System/ Equipment in order to minimize downtime.
  • Propose cost-reduction initiatives for contract services.
  • Review procedures to ensure facilities equipment and services up-time are maintained at or above set goals through rapid response and effective corrective as required.
  • Coordinate employee training in emergency response, life safety, industrial hygiene and chemical and fire hazards.
  • Provide support to facility team on all facilities equipment and system troubleshooting.
  • Schedule and perform preventive maintenance activities on all facilities equipment.
  • Develop best practices and implement routine checks on the building and plant's equipment.
  • Manage daily operations of all matters relating to operation and maintenance activities.
  • Lead the facilities team to achieve goals in providing day to day operational support.
  • Perform study and identify the opportunities on energy conservative program
  • Continue improvement on the energy saving.
  • Check equipment/ utilities system condition, monitoring data and improve reliability of equipment.
  • To plan and prepare checklist for periodical inspection and preventive maintenance
  • Maintenance of plant utilities and building.
  • To report and investigate any abnormality arise.
  • Perform root cause analysis and report to Manager.
  • Ensure continuous improvement and constant uptime for facilities system.
  • Perform other duties assigned.
Job Requirement:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma,
  • Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Required skill(s): strong technical knowledge in facilities maintenance, able to work independently with minimal supervision, team working skills, analysing and investigating skills.
  • At least 1-3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • For Utilities Engineer, must have hands-on with Utilities equipment (such as DI Water System, CDA, HAVC, Electrical Switchgear, building maintenance).
  • Able to work under minimum supervision, good interpersonal skill and communication, hardworking and team work oriented.
  • Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Maintenance/Repair (Facilities & Machinery) or equivalent.
