ACCOUNTS MANAGER (PENANG - PRAI)

Job Responsibility:
  • Responsible for various accounting activities in daily operation, budgeting/forecasting, cash management and support the business operations.
  • To develop and progress within the financial control function and other areas of finance.
  • Prepare standard and ad-hoc month end journals. To post journal entry to accounting system.
  • Preparation of monthly financial reports. Monthly analysis of profit and loss accounts, including commentary. Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
  • Monitor accounts receivable (AR) functions and process accounts payable (AP) invoices and recurring payments.
  • Recording bank transactions, maintaining cashbooks and performing daily bank and cash audit reconciliations, to assist the client-ledger team.
  • Liaise with the Bankers.
  • Preparation of subsidiary financial statements.
  • Preparing month end stock evaluation & product costing.
  • Assist in month & year -end stock take process.
  • Assisting in the external audit process, liaising with external auditors.
  • Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage day-to-day operation and ad-hoc assignments.
Job Requirement:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in the related field.
  • Required skills: SAP & MS Excel.
  • Good accounting knowledge and hands on experience (management accounting info).
  • Able to communicate well in English, Mandarin & Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
  • Willingness to put in extra hours when necessary.
  • Must be self-motivated, have an eye for detail, able to meet tight deadlines, pro-active and able to work independently under minimum supervision.
