SECTION MANAGER - SYSTEM CONTROL & ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING (PENANG-BUKIT MINYAK)

Job Description:
  • Capable of leading the electrical and/or controls design and programming of a large, custom, automatic assembly machine project from concept to acceptance.
  • Direct interface with the Project Manager and is capable of communicating directly with the customer.
  • Has decision-making responsibility for issues related to the concept, design, programming, debug and qualification of the machine.
  • Responsible for reviewing the concept, budget and schedule to determine feasibility then stays within the project milestone requirements.

Job Requirement:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master's Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical) or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of working experience in the automation industry with 5 years managerial position.
  • Knowledge of Solidwork, AutoCAD, Excel, DOS and Windows 7.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts (exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and premutations.
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations (frequency distribution, test reliability and validity determination, variance analysis, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis).
  • Good knowledge of electromechanical relationships of  an entire automation system.
  • Ability to design basic power distribution and control circuits.
  • Ability to write and debug multiple-station PLC code.
  • Ability to program MMI devices and design interface circuitry.
  • Ability to determine power and load requirements and restrictions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot RS-232 communications and to write  device drivers.
  • Ability to manage large projects (i.e. projects with more than 350 hours of programming/designing) and/or lead multiple designers and programmers.
